The AME + BBA (Aviation Management) Dual Program is a unique academic pathway designed for students who wish to combine strong technical expertise in aircraft maintenance with professional management and business knowledge in aviation. In this program, students primarily enroll in the Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) course and may simultaneously opt to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in BBA (Aviation Management). This dual qualification enables students to understand not only how aircraft are maintained and certified, but also how aviation organizations are managed, regulated, and operated in a competitive global environment. The program is ideal for students who aspire to long-term leadership roles in airlines, airports, MRO organizations, and aviation support services.
12th standard (10+2) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) from a recognized board, OR equivalent qualification.
The AME component of the program focuses on developing technical competence in aircraft maintenance in accordance with DGCA regulations. Students study fundamental engineering concepts, including mathematics, physics, materials, and basic aeronautical principles. The curriculum covers aircraft structures, powerplants, mechanical and electrical systems, avionics fundamentals, and maintenance practices. Emphasis is placed on aircraft inspection, troubleshooting, repair procedures, human factors in maintenance, aviation safety, and airworthiness regulations. Extensive practical training is provided through workshops, hangar sessions, and live aircraft exposure, enabling students to gain hands-on experience with tools, components, and maintenance documentation. The AME program also prepares students for DGCA module examinations and future aircraft type training.
The BBA (Aviation Management) component complements the technical AME training by building managerial and business capabilities specific to the aviation industry. Students are introduced to principles of management, business communication, accounting, economics, and organizational behaviour, with a strong aviation orientation. The curriculum includes aviation industry overview, airline and airport management, aviation law and regulatory frameworks, aviation safety and security management, air cargo and logistics, customer service, and revenue management. Students also gain exposure to strategic management, international aviation trends, and operational decision-making. Practical learning is reinforced through case studies, projects, and internships within aviation organizations.
By completing both AME and BBA (Aviation Management), students significantly expand their career potential beyond a single technical or administrative role. The AME qualification equips them for licensed aircraft maintenance roles, while the BBA degree prepares them for supervisory, managerial, and leadership positions. Graduates are well suited for careers as Aircraft Maintenance Engineers, maintenance planners, technical managers, airline operations executives, airport managers, MRO supervisors, safety and compliance officers, and aviation project coordinators. This dual skill set allows professionals to progress from hands-on technical roles to decision-making positions that require both engineering knowledge and business acumen. In an industry that increasingly values multidisciplinary professionals, the AME + BBA Dual Program offers a strong foundation for long-term growth, leadership, and global career mobility in aviation.
